5 Tips in Flying RC Esky Helicopter by Iceman
It is really a great experience to fly an rc helicopter; I’m flying my eSky Big Lama helicopter. Flying an RC eSky helicopter is almost the same as flying the real deal, the controls are very much the same and the procedure is almost very similar, the only difference will be the size and the risk associated with flying a real helicopter where your life is at stake and damages it fatal if you make a mistake. This is actually the primary reason many pilot-to-be prefer to master their skills in flying using a real life flight simulation or flying rc helicopter, like esky Big Lama.
Here are five flying tips for a fun and safety rc helicopter flying:
1. Read carefully and understand the rc helicopter manual. This is primarily the best way to save time, energy and most of all unnecessary cost associated with helicopter crashes due to non consideration of flying factors given and written on the flying manual.
2. Always make sure your batteries are in good working condition and should not fall short of being fully charged before you fly the rc helicopter. Not only this will ensure you have plenty of flying hours to logged, it will also make sure that your helicopter is working in full energy to avoid any sudden shut down, loss communication or malfunction.
3. Learn thoroughly how to use the remote control, normally there are 2 major stick you need to master using, the vertical stick or throttle and the direction / turn stick. Being relaxed and compose in using these sticks will surely tell the outcome of your helicopter flight. Some controls have a 3rd channel that works on controlling the spin your helicopter can do for an easy change of direction.
4. It is all on the way you control the vertical lift or ascend! Learn to stabilize your helicopter once it goes airborne, having it stable at your desired height is the key to a good maneuver around your flying zone. Knowing how to increase altitude when needed and decreasing accordingly to avoid clash to surrounding terrain makes you close to being a professional pilot, rc helicopter pilot.
5. Smooth landing completed your flying skills. Get your helicopter make good and smooth landing on desired point with minimal ground impact. The key to a smooth helicopter landing greatly depend on your vertical throttle control, as you managed to get the helicopter stable in midair using the vertical stick, you will have to land your helicopter by slowly decreasing your altitude and land smoothly with less impact on the ground.
