This massive adventure lasts seventeen days. It begins in Buenos Aires and then flies you to Ushuaia, the southern most city in the world. There’s a morning excursion to Tierra Del Fuego National Park, and in the afternoon you get on board the ship and journey through Drake Passage. You’ll spot various species of whales and not see land for five days while you cross the Antarctic Convergence. When you do spot land it’ll be the South Shetlands, which are full of wildlife. You will go to huge penguin rockeries and also land on beaches which are home to elephant seals and also Arctic fur seals.
Your ship will be really comfortable with a lounge, dining room, library and a lecture room. Here you will be listening to the expert guides who’ll be offering talks about the wildlife, the landscape and also everything of interest in the Antarctic.

For the next few days your ship will cruise down and then back up the side of the Antarctic Peninsula. You will cross the Arctic Circle and pass by gigantic icebergs. With a bit of luck with the weather and ice you will cross into the Grandidier and Penola Channels which very few people have seen.
As you leave Antarctica and travel back in the direction of Ushuaia you will continue to take pleasure from the whales and birdlife. The lectures from the ship’s experts will continue to inform as well as entertain you. You and your fellow passengers will have much talk about and share.
