Fly 23 Jordan Shoe For Basketball by Scott Oberholser
The new Jordan Fly 23 is a shoe that will actually allow you to fly. No, of course it won’t allow you to fly but the name of the shoe conjures up some pretty “lofty” images doesn’t it? Like the image of Michael Jordan taking off from the free throw line and dunking during an NBA All-Star game dunk contest. Like the image of Michael dunking in Patrick Ewing’s face. Like the image of MJ switching the ball from one hand to the other in midair on his way to an epic layup against Magic and the Lakers. No, the new Fly 23 won’t allow you to fly or most cases ever dunk with the flair that MJ did. What it will allow you to do is rock a pair of high performance Jordans. Jordans that depict Michael flying. That’s good enough for me. It has to be good enough, I have no vertical.
This new Jordan Fly 23 should not be confused with the Jordan Fly Wade. Similar, yes. The same, no. The Fly 23 combines the silhouette and design characteristics of both the Jordan 2011 and the Jordan Fly Wade. This shoe features a shiny synthetic upper that uses webbed contrast stitching as accents. The tongue of the shoe is made of a breathable mesh. A visible Nike Air unit in the heel cup and Nike Max Air are used in the midsole. A heel pull-tab finishes off the shoe. This design that uses the best of both the Fly Wade and Jordan 2011 creates a lightweight, durable, and stable ride on the hardcourt.
There have been plenty of colorways of this new Jordan shoe dropped already. 11 different colorways dropped in September and more are set to drop in October. The drops in October will be much more vivid in appearance than the previous colorways. They include Black/White/Varsity Maize, Black/White/Orion Blue, and Midnight Navy/White. All of the Jordan Fly 23 are going to be general releases and priced at a retail of $125. A Jordan general release of a high performance pair of kicks for only $125 is definitely music to the ears of all Jordan sneaker fanatics. The fact that almost 20 different colorways are available makes it even sweeter.
This new shoe is one of several releases of Jordan shoes for basketball that Jordan Brand has blessed the sneaker community with. A shoe that is not only very affordable but provides the highest in performance standards. You are not going to be able to fly like Michael Jordan in them, but I think we can all agree that nobody could quite fly like MJ could anyway.
