Jet Airways – Enduring Tough Times To Emerge Like The Yellow Rose
Jet Airways – India, is an international air passenger carrier headquartered in Mumbai India. The corporation’s website says that they service 75 different destinations both at home and abroad and that’s with “each connected every five minutes.” Because their first commercial flight happened as recently as 1993, the airline is still thought to be a “young one.”
However, they’ve grown very aggressively since then and worked hard to improve their itineraries and other services. Jet Airways has been acknowledged as being one of the most quickly growing airline carriers. You can use it to fly to twenty four international destinations and fifty one domestic destinations. If they haven’t stopped completely, then the long-haul flights that use the Boeing 777 have been greatly reduced because of the years of economic recession. The 777 Extended Range Boeing airliner is perfect for transatlantic crossings. Due to economical reasons, the company is using the Airbus A330 for flights to North America. Previously flights to a few destinations were halted, but later in 2011 a few of those flights will start up again. Announced in June 2011, Jet Airways has a new service that will offer more convenience for their air travelers. The integration of emerging mobile technology with air ticket purchasing is called Mobile Ticketing Solution, the companies latest effort. Of course, this means that the mobile phone can be used for booking flights and purchasing tickets. The airline has come together with another Indian company called Ngpay, which has over a million mobile users. Huge growth in the mobile commerce sector service in India is something that Ngpay has been experiencing. Bookings, refunds and cancellations are some of the transactions that can be performed with Mobile Ticketing Solution.
The holiday season as well as the growing business climate are considered to be the basic reasons for these high figures. Combining both the passengers from the subsidiary JetLite along with its parent airline created that two million passenger mark. Just under a half a million passengers flew with Jetlite, while the rest of the passengers were flown by Jet Airways. Jet Airways could finally be seeing an upswing to their business given the record setting in May 2011. In some business sectors, the economy does seem to be improving some. One considerable and driving force for airlines is the use of air travel for business.
